Hueber Verlag is committed to making its website and other digital information services accessible in accordance with the Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz (BFSG, in accordance with the European Accessibility Act, in short: EAA). The web store is currently only partially compatible with the technical requirements of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 as well as the Barrierefreie-Informationstechnik-Verordnung (BITV 2.0). There are currently the following barriers in particular:

• PDF documents: some of our PDF documents are not yet accessible, especially those created before June 28, 2025. We are continuously working on providing accessible alternatives.
• Videos: Some of our embedded videos and YouTube videos, especially those created before June 28, 2025, do not currently have subtitles. The YouTube player systematically offers the option of generating and displaying subtitles. We will aim to add subtitles to future videos.
• The preview images, for example those of our textbooks, do not have HTML alternative text. The captions are therefore published in the article text on the website. We are constantly updating this content and are working on providing alternative texts.

The website is subject to a constant self-assessment and review process and is continuously adapted to the requirements of the BFSG.

The website www.hueber.de uses the Eye-Able® software from Web Inclusion GmbH to enable users to view visual content in a barrier-reduced way. Eye-Able® helps to adapt the website to individual needs.

The website www.hueber.de provides links to third-party websites. Please note that we are in no position to check the accessibility of these websites and cannot guarantee compliance with accessibility guidelines.
