German (Foreign Language) Teacher

John Paul College – Kalgoorlie-Boulder, Western Australia 

Full-Time | Ongoing Position | Commencing by Negotiation 

John Paul College is a co-educational Catholic secondary school catering for students 

in Years 7-12 in the vibrant regional city of Kalgoorlie-Boulder, Western Australia.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, innovative and highly motivated German (Foreign Language) Teacher 

to join our dedicated teaching team. 

About the Role 

The successful applicant will teach German across secondary year levels and will also have the capacity to teach in a second curriculum area, such as: 

• Religious Education 
• Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS) 
• Mathematics 
• Science 
• English 
• Other secondary subject areas aligned with the applicant's qualifications and experience

Selection Criteria 

• The successful applicant will demonstrate: 
• Appropriate teaching qualifications in German and a secondary teaching qualification.
• The ability to deliver engaging and effective German language programs. 
• Capacity to teach in a second learning area. 
• Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills. 
• Commitment to student wellbeing and academic achievement. 
• Effective communication and collaboration skills. 
• A willingness to support and uphold the Catholic ethos and values of the College.  

Essential Requirements 

Applicants must: 

• Be eligible for registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia (TRBWA). 
• Hold, or be able to obtain, a valid Working with Children Check. 
• Demonstrate eligibility to work in Australia or be willing to obtain the appropriate visa.
